Production Workflow

Timeline

  1. Print the yearbook pages
  2. Apply NFC tags to the printed sheets
  3. Bind pages together

Tags are applied after printing, before binding. They sit between two glued pages.

NFC Icon Placement

Every scannable portrait must have a visible NFC tap icon printed near the tag. Consistent position across all pages: bottom-right corner of each portrait.

Programming Instructions

  1. Download NFC Tools (free, iOS + Android)
  2. Write URL to each tag: https://<domain>/<member-id>
  3. Test each tag immediately after programming
  4. Group by page type (senior, faculty, section, back cover)
  5. Label each tag with member name for easy matching

How-To-Scan Page (Inside Front Cover)

The printed instructions page must include:

  1. Step 1: Find the tap icon next to any portrait
  2. Step 2: Hold phone directly over the portrait for 1–2 seconds
  3. Step 3: Tap the notification to open the profile
